Common Issues

Remote Falcon Control Panel

Viewer Page Is Blank

Problem:

You've opened your Viewer Page after signing up, but it's blank!

Solution:

After signing up the first time, there will be no Viewer Page present. You will need to:

  1. Go to the Viewer Page menu and create a new Viewer Page.
  2. Go to the Remote Falcon Settings menu and click the Viewer Page tab.
  3. Select your new Viewer Pag from the Active Viewer Page dropdown.

FPP Plugin

Show Token Not Saving

Problem:

You entered your Show Token, but the plugin still says it hasn't been entered. This is most common for new Remote Falcon plugin installs. Sometimes there's an issue with writing to the config on new plugin installs.

Solution:

Power cycling (unplugging and plugging back in) your device after installing the plugin is the best fix for this problem. Typically just doing this once does the trick, but there have been cases where more than one power cycle was required.

Requests or Votes Are Not Playing

Problem:

You have active requests or votes, but FPP is not playing them.

Solution:

There are multiple potential issues that could result in requests or votes not playing. Here are some steps to take to try and fix the issue:

  1. Make sure something is playing in FPP, either a scheduled show or a manually started playlist (other than the Remote Playlist). Requests or votes will not be pulled in by the plugin if FPP is idle (i.e. not playing anything).
  2. Double check that the playlist you have synced with Remote Falcon is NOT being used in any schedules and has NOT been manually started. The playlist you sync with Remote Falcon should ONLY be used for getting sequences into Remote Falcon.
  3. Restart the listener. Keep in mind that any time you switch between Jukebox and Voting, the Remote Falcon listener MUST be restarted in FPP.

Wrong Sequence Is Playing

Problem:

Requests or votes are being pulled into FPP, but the wrong sequence is being played.

Solution:

There are multiple potential issues that could result in the wrong request or vote being played. Here are some steps to take to try and fix the issue:

  1. Double check that the playlist you have synced with Remote Falcon is NOT being used in any schedules and has NOT been manually started. The playlist you sync with Remote Falcon should ONLY be used for getting sequences into Remote Falcon.
  2. Ensure your Remote Playlist does NOT have any lead ins, lead outs, or any main playlist items that are NOT sequences or commands. These can affect the way FPP plays requests.
  3. Re-sync your Remote Playlist to Remote Falcon and double check that the index numbers (found on the Sequences page in the Control Panel) match what is in FPP.
